Quality Control and Load Supervision in China

At WIT, we understand that product quality and safety are fundamental to every shipment. Our quality control team in China works to ensure that every shipment meets the highest standards, from initial inspection to loading onto the vessel.

This is especially important in the transport of mineral raw materials, such as citric acid, aluminas, bauxite, zinc oxide, and calcium carbonate, which are usually presented in stone or powder form and require specialized handling.

Our Services

Load Supervision

During the loading process, our team personally visits the port, supervising and verifying that the handling is adequate to minimize damage and maximize the use of space on the vessel. Although Bulk Cargo generally involves a damage margin of 3-4%, at WIT we have managed to reduce it to less than 2% through continuous inspections and secure packaging.

  • Secure PackagingTransporting in Bulk Cargo is different from using containers. We make sure to advise the Chinese supplier of each client directly on the best packaging practices to minimize the risk of damage during sea freight. We usually recommend the use of specialized 'heavy duty' big bags for heavy loads, although it is also possible to consolidate 50 kg bags inside a big bag. Our team reviews the product characteristics in detail and proposes secure packaging alternatives, adjusted to the specific needs of each shipment. Thus, we guarantee that the material arrives in optimal conditions, offering adequate protection solutions for each type of cargo."

Product Inspection

We carry out a laboratory analysis to confirm that each product complies with the technical sheet specifications:

  • Chemical content: Between 2% and 10% of the material is sampled, depending on the request and volume of the shipment, to be sent to verified laboratories in China. At WIT, besides being logistics specialists, we also know your industry's raw materials in detail, which is why we get involved in the production, screening, and packaging process of your product from the source.
  • Physical properties: All required physical properties such as particle size, bulk density, loss on ignition (LOI), and moisture content, among others, are reviewed.

Supplier Audit

In addition to our inspection service, we carry out on-site audits at the suppliers’ facilities to evaluate key factors such as production capacity and delivery times, quality control processes, product standards and laboratories, as well as their responsiveness, communication, and ethical practices.
